Shoulder Surgery

"In 2004 I lost my left shoulder in a horse riding trip where the horse fell on top of me, completely destroying my left shoulder. Doctors informed me after I had my shoulder replacement that I would never be able to go back to work. They literally gave up on me but Forest Hills Rehabilitation never gave up on me. They worked with me for one entire year going beyond their profession. Today I am back to work, my shoulder is working at 80% and I owe it all to the therapist at Forest Hills Rehabilitation.

Today I continue with physical therapy for other injuries. In my opinion they are the best in this profession. Without them at my side in 2004, I would be disabled right now. They are my friends and my guardian angels."

Sciatica/Spinal Stenosis/Arthritis

"I was referred to Dr. Barber by my neurologist, because of a pinched nerve in the lumbar region of my spine. I was experiencing pain, numbness and a burning sensation in my right leg, for which my neurologist only offered me pain medication. I have been coming to physical therapy three days a week for the past nine months and I presently have none of the pain or burning sensation in my leg. The physical therapy I have been receiving involves electrical stimulation and traction stretching of my legs and neck. I have also been using the various pieces of exercise equipment in the gymnasium to stretch and strengthen the muscles in my back and legs. I am 84 years old and living an active life thanks to the therapy which I have received here."

Post Hip Replacement

"I have been coming to this office for treatments, both chiropractic and physical therapy, for the past three years. During the summer of 2005, I started out being treated by Dr. Barber for back pain. The treatments helped in reducing the pain, but at the end of the year the arthritis in my hip had progressed to the point that I need a total hip replacement. During the surgery, performed in December of 2005, I unfortunately sustained nerve damage, resulting in foot drop. In order to walk, I now need to wear an AFO. For this condition, Ramak has been treating me since January 2006. These treatments are invaluable to me in that they are keeping me as mobile and active as possible. Due to the aggressive way Ramak attacks my problem and very aggressively stretches the foot, leg, and hamstrings, I am able to walk well. Ramak has also been helpful when I needed a new AFO and put me in touch with an othotist who fitted me with a brace that actually works for me."

Im sure that everyone, at one time or another, has heard someone say such and such a surgeon has saved their lives.

BUT&&..how often have you heard the same thing said about a CHIROPRACTOR?

Dr. Tim Barber is just such a man.

A good number of years back, I was diagnosed as having Fibromyalgia/Chronic Myofascial Pain Syndrome.

Dr. Barber worked to keep me functional (against overwhelming odds) for my last 2 years as a counselor for the Board of Education so that I may reach the point where I could retire and collect a pension.

He, literally, saved my future for me!

He is one of a rare breed of doctor who truly takes a personal interest in each person he treats and is eager to go the extra mile and research any aspect of a patients problem if the answer is not readily available to him (which is a rarity because of his diverse training and experience).

Ramak, the Physical Therapist has modified therapeutic approaches until they were barely recognizable so that I could benefit and not react adversely.

Michel and Marena have untiringly bent over backwards to help arrange appointments for me according to my functional ability that day and assist me with all billing difficulties Ive encountered from time to time.

I sincerely doubt that the words thank you are sufficient but&&..thank you.

You, Dr. Barber, and your entire staff are truly a G-d sent.
